Enterprise Police arrest two people on theft charges

On May 21, 2013, City of Enterprise officials discovered missing funds related to the Enterprise Water Works Board.  After a preliminary investigation, those officials immediately notified the Enterprise Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.  Donna Holland, 53, of Jack, AL and Donald Mock, 57, of New Brockton, AL were both arrested and charged with Theft of Property 1st Degree. 

Holland and Mock were transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest. It is believed that Holland and Mock are responsible for allegedly taking more than $10,000.00 from the Enterprise Water Works Board. 

This case remains under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

Enterprise man arrested on multiple counts after single vehicle accident

 

On May 16, 2013, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and Lee Street.  Citizens at the scene of the accident flagged down an off duty officer to stop.  The officer made contact with the subject who attempted to flee the scene.  Joseph Isaac Speigner,56, of Enterprise, AL was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Reckless Endangerment, Resisting Arrest, and Driving Under the Influence.  Speigner was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.  The Enterprise Police Department would like to thank the citizens who stopped to assist the officers on scene.

On May 6, 2013, members of the Enterprise Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 200 Glenwood Lane Apt. 4 Enterprise, AL.  Marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were seized during the raid.  Michael Antonio Reynolds, 35, of Enterprise, AL and Shantoria Vonsha Groce, 24, of Enterprise, AL were both arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 1st, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Reynolds and Groce were transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.

Enterprise Police Department narcotic’s investigators recovered a quantity of methamphetamine, several guns, video surveillance equipment, and paraphernalia for the use and/or sell of illicit drugs when they executed a search warrant at 407 East Hickory Bend.

Materials recovered in the search warrant included approximately 32 grams of finished methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, an assault rifle, a pump-action shotgun, a 9mm Glock handgun, a .22 rifle, four infrared-capable cameras, monitor and recorder, and a digital scale.

Arrested during the service of the search warrant were Scott William Teeter, a 31 year-old white male and Jason Barnes, a 26 year-old white male.

Enteprise PD investigating car burglaries in Clubview neighborhood

Recently, unknown suspects have entered several unlocked vehicles in the Clubview neighborhood and adjacent areas along Highway 27 North in Enterprise. Loose change and other items have been taken during these incidents. In one case the suspects set fire to paper in the vehicle.

Anyone with information concerning these events is encouraged to contact the Enterprise Police Department. Citizens should be cautious and lock their vehicles.

Any suspicious persons in the area should be reported to the Enterprise Police Department.

Two arrested for theft from Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church

On March 29th 2013 Dale County Sheriffs Deputies responded to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Level Plains in reference to the theft of the church's air conditioning unit.

During the investigation the Enterprise Police Department's Detective Division  contacted Dale County Sheriff's Investigators with information regarding the theft.

On April 02, 2013 Investigators arrested Skylor Wyatt Thames and Cody Barber both of Enterprise. Both Thames and Barber were charged with Theft of Property 1st and transported to the Dale County Jail.

Elba Police arrest two Enterprise resdients on burglary charges

Elba Police arrest two Enterprise resdients on burglary charges

On Saturday March 30, 2013 Elba Police received a call in reference to a Burglary in progress at a residence on East Davis Street. Elba Police Department was able to get a description of the suspects, the vehicle, and direction of travel. The information was passed on to surrounding agencies. New Brockton Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Powell Road between New Brockton and Enterprise.

The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Gary Wayne Johnson of Enterprise, Alabama and Sharla D. Woods of Enterprise, Alabama. Officers located the property taken from the burglary in the suspect’s vehicle. Both Johnson and Woods were placed under arrest for Burglary 3rd degree and placed in the Coffee County Jail on a $15,000 bond each.
