Enterprise man fires shots at police | Crime
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Last night at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers with the Enterprise Police Department responded to a domestic call on Coffee County Road 270. When they arrived, they were informed that Rocky J. Beasley was hiding in the woods behind the residence and was armed with a rifle.
Officers heard a gunshot from behind the residence and took cover as Beasley fired numerous rounds and moved from point to point of cover at the rear of the residence. Officers never returned fire, because they could not determine Beasley's location. As officers attempted to determine his location, he came out of the woods and complied with the officer's instructions and was taken into custody without further incident.
During the crime scene investigation, it was determined that two police cars were struck by rounds. Beasley was arrested an charged with three counts of attempted murder. There were no injuries from the incident.
