Wallace honors spring 2013 nursing students in Pinning Ceremony

Dothan, Ala.—Wallace Community College recently conferred credentials upon spring 2013 graduates of the associate degree and practical nursing programs at the Dothan Civic Center. The graduates will help fill employment gaps in the local health-care workforce.

Since the first graduating class in 1953, the practical nursing program has produced 3,612 graduates. The associate degree program has graduated 3,639 nurses since the initial 1971 class.

Wallace continues to enroll large numbers of prospective allied health and nursing students each semester. More than 42% of the College’s total student enrollment is registered in health sciences or pre-health sciences courses. The nursing programs are approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing and are fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The next NLNAC review will be in 2015 for ADN and 2016 for PN.
